Feeling a little sparkle this year:
and:
The above shoe *may* be a holy grail. About five years ago, this same brand made a sparkly open-toe heel that I loved, but discovered too late to get my size. I ordered a 9.5 and 10.5, hoping for the best, but neither fit and I had to send them both back. I've been on the hunt for something similar ever since, but most glitter shoes are a bit too sparkly for me. This might just be the ticket.
While I'm on a theme (all of these shoes are the same brand):
Tiny photo from Nordstrom, but this seems to be exclusive for them and I can't get any larger pictures. Same shoe as # 1 above, but different upper.
So far these are just wishlist items (I so do NOT need more pointy-toe pumps)...but I do have a Nordstrom gift card...just sayin'.
And there are three pairs of boots (aaaaaand one dress) on the way:
(The black, on the right)
None too exciting, but I can't find boots to fit my calves (they're all way too big) and these are described as being for the narrow-calved. They'd be practical for work and play. Fingers crossed.
and the item that started it all:
I'll see how they all work out when they arrive next week. :)
1/30/13 update: nothing worked. The dress was close, but the waistline was oddly too high in a medium and a large would have been too big. And all the boots were too large in the calf except the Guess wedge....but it just felt cheap. So they all went back. And I saw these in person:
and they're off the list. Too heavy-handed with the glittery stuff on top and the heel is too cheap-looking..

Thank you for the comment you'd left. Looks like we're pretty shoe obsessed (that includes me!). I love the second pump - peep toe heels are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI just recently found your blog and it's quickly becoming a favorite. I'm sure I'll be commenting as regularly as time permits! Thanks for checking me out! :)
